DIY Hat and Skirt
DIY 's are my favorite and this one just is SEW comfy, sexy, hip I had to share it.
The hat was made from scrap denim that I have an abundance of and this pattern. The "BOSS" embellishment is an earring that I cut the post off an sewed it onto the hat with clear thread.
You know my philosophy, that you don't have to go broke to be cute. Clothes don't make me, I make them (sometimes literally, LOL)

The red and white scarf and gray bling skeleton face t-shirt are from a trip to the goody store (thrift store) and the faux leather gray jacket is from the swap meet (my trip back in January to LA).
This skirt is SEW great and I have many of them because they are easy to make and comfy and easy to wear.
The skirt is just two pair of sweat pants I bought from Kmart, that I cut open the inseam of one pair and filled that middle opening with the legs of the other pair. Here is a video on how to do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rO6tUEy7qM
This video is about 10 minutes long. Which is perfect for me, because I am not a fan of long videos. I have a touch of ADD and I will lose interest and focus if it takes too long to get to the good part. IJS (I'm just saying).
The shoes are from my favorite local shoe store "Lizzy"s" and were a hot $10. I added the sliver strikes to the toe and BAM!!!!!!!!! I"m dressed for less and look good at it!!!!!!!!!!

Blue Outfit for a few $ Bucks
I told you I have a lot of these DIY maxi skirts.
I got the monochromatic sweater from the goody store (thrift store) for a buck on Saturday's 5 for $5 sale.

I have been turned on to this gray NYX suede lip stick and liner.
I think I like it.
I love my new blue suede Hush Puppies and they are so comfortable.

Complete Outfit head to toe for $23
This outfit cost $23 from the Salvation Army Thrift store.
People ask me all the time "How do you find these outfits at the thrift store?" or "I don't ever find anything nice when I go to the thrift store". All this may be true, however all I can say is, you have to know your style, and be open to possibilities.
Let me explain my process for this outfit. I went to the thrift store on Saturday because there are always sale specials and especially the 5 for $5 deals. This Saturday all white tag clothes were 5 for $5. Meaning you can get 5 clothing items for a dollar a piece as long as they are white tagged and in increments of 5. So, as I walked around the store starting at the shoe sections, I found these sweet blue suede like Hush Puppies loafers.
I placed them in my buggy and that set the stage for my color palette. I am always looking for a Menswear look and these shoes were gonna work well for that.
$12.99 shoes
Since it is getting cooler outside, a sweater seem like the logical clothing item to accompany these awesome shoes. I found 5 different blue sweaters, today I will show you one.
$1 sweater -scarf combo
The dark blue blazer was a added element I got from an earlier visit to the goody store (that's what my husband's aunt use to call the thrift store). I don't remember exactly how much it cost but you know I would have bought it if it was pricey, so lets just say it was $4. The belt was $3.99.
$4 blazer and $3.99 belt
And last but not least, the denim jeans were a buck. They were wide leg and long but i fixed that by taking in the leg and making a big cuff at the bottom. A good press and here you go!

One comfortable dress
Here I go again......
And I love these slip on faux leather shoes. They were $10 at my favorite shoe store Lizzy's.
This time I added a head wrap (from leftover fabric).
If you don't know, then you should. I love this over size, off shoulder dress. I made this and I added pockets this time.
My jacket is an Upcycle, that I took off the original denim sleeves and replaced them with faux leather. Then, I added the studs and elastic in the back.
