Anytime I can make a garment that gives multiple looks I'm happy 

This little number gives two looks. First, drop crotch palazzo pants 

TOTAL LOOK: 

Pants and necklace-  I made them, Shoes, denim button up (I bleached it) -Thrifted, 

Blush color Cami- Forever 21. 

Earrings- Lizzy's 

I made the garment from a jersey knit bedsheet I bought from the thrift store. Great buy, dontcha think!

Second, crop length strapless onesie 

Shoes- I stoned and pearled them

Crop denim jacket- Thrifted 

Jewelry- I bought some time ago. 

This garment would be great for traveling. Easy, comfortable, dress it up or down. Easy to ride in on road trips. Easy to get through security in airports and riding on airplanes.

My first Ankara piece

I have seen these beautiful fabrics everywhere. So I did some investigating and lucked up on http://aknfabrics.com. This site has very affordable Ankara fabrics. This is my first time ordering so I didn't got hard on ordering. I just got two pieces this time. But as you can see 

I will be ordering more. 

The skirt is a maxi skirt pattern with pockets with an add front tie. 

My tank top is Forever 21. 

Denim crop jacket- Thrifted 

Jewelry- I have had some time.

Oh my!!!

Oh my is all I could say when I seen the yellow peeking out of the clothes rack. All I could think of was this dress would go perfect with my yellow and white Espadrilles. I quickly grabbed it off the rack and held it up to myself. I was sold!!! Especially so seeing that it was pretty and half off. Yes, I'm a happy thrifter!!! Oh my is what I said again once I got this beautiful piece home and tried it on. This dress had quickly turned into a top seeing that it wouldn't come pass these 44"hips. But that's ok, a little altering and here it is:

It's plain as Black and White

I found some goodies while thrifting over the holiday weekend. This little number is definitely a keeper. 

Black and white print skort suit. It was truly a steal.....$6. 

The shirt was a thrifted item from an early shopping spree. 

The pearls were also thrifted at an earlier time. 

The sunglasses were a dollar store find with my added rhinestone on the sides.

And the shoes I have had for awhile. 

If you can tell I had a song in my head!!!!!!

A good day!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Memorial Day weekend. I talked to my brother who is stationed in Mississippi (Navy). Shout out to Keith. 

My hubby and I hung out a little, that was fun and I topped the long weekend with a little thrifting shopping spree. Take a look at today's thrifted outfit!!! 

Starting with the denim jacket, I had bought it before, it was a good thrift store find and had become a true go-to garment. 

The $3 tunic top was bought in the spree. I love the colors. 

The $2.50 capric distressed jeans were a good thrift store fine also, and  they fit great!

The sweet sandals are Steve Madden on sale for $14.99 with 25%off and on top of that they were NEW!!!!! In the words of my youngest son "Ohhh Kill'em"!!!!

Happy Friday

Happy Friday

Today started out a little chilly however it's sunny and about 65 degrees ,and it's Friday so I'm not gonna trip too much on the weather. I'm just gonna dress accordingly, 

The white joggers I bought at Sal Val for $2. I altered the inseam to make them narrow near the bottom.

The white jacket was a gift that I painted with irredesent paint to keep it from staining. 

I'm rockin' my black "Outthetrunk2009" zipper back Tshirt.

My shoes- just a little bling added by me!!

Enjoy your holiday weekend.

Shout out to my father, brother and cousins for serving in our armed forces. 

May our creator bless all our of our fallen soldiers.

This is a Remix

If you are new to this blog, let me tell you........I love a good upcycle project. And here is one...

I bought the men's shirt from a resale

store, that resale men work clothes. And the pants are from my favorite spot the "Sal Val" (short for Salvation Army thrift store) 

The cut off the collar of the shirt and cut the sleeves off to 3/4 length. I sergered the ends and used elastic thread in my bobbin and sewed 1/4 hem around new cut neck/off shoulder line and around the newly cut arm length. 

As for the skirt, I cut the inseam of the pants and then sewed it back together by overlaying the pieces. If this sounds complicated here is a video from one of my favorite you tubers- Meesha:  http://youtu.be/soH5O-cXaQE
